Roger Thorp and Nick Rye worked together in London in the 1980’s before their paths diverged. Rye spent time in the United States, working in theatre and as a painter before returning to London and Thorp turned his attention to his film practice.
Thorp and Rye create videos often dreamt up at the same time as the songs - ‘song films’, bringing together their disciplines in music, sound design, scenic art and film art installation. The combination lends music video new context and meaning.
